Hello. We had an amazing time in January and are excited to take another group this year!

Please note that the health of Taita Querubin has been very delicate lately. For this reason we have made some slight changes to the itinerary.

You have been asking many questions, so here are the details I have so far!

Join for an epic journey to the home of Yage to visit the elders.

For 2023, we will be visiting the farm and Maloka of Taita Juan with Taita Edgars, Franco and Juan. We will also visit with Taita Javier Lucitante of the Cofan Community.

We will have three ceremonies at the Maloka of Taita Javier Lucitante. Taita is a recognized traditional yagesero doctor of the COFAN indigenous community of Santa Rosa de Sucumbios, located in the department of Putumayo, Colombian Amazon Jungle. He is the son of Taita Major Guillermo Lucitante and Abuela Beatriz Lucitante, renowned healers, whose lineage and wisdom has been preserved and cultivated by his son Javier. Located near Orito, close to the Ecuador border, this land is full of medicine plants, animals and beauty.

We will then travel by private bus to Mocoa, where we will spend a few days in the city to partake in a river tour, enjoy the beauty that surrounds Mocoa, and also shop at the market.

There will be 3 nights of ceremony at the finca of Taita Juan, led by Taita Juan and Taita Edgar and joined by Taita Franco.

Please note there is a 3 hour hike to get to Taita Juans.

Here is the itinerary, please note not all activities are included, and things are subject to change.

June 3- Meet at bogota Airport for 12 noon flight to Puerto Asis. Overnight in Puerto Asis at hotel, group dinner.
June 4- Private transport to Taita Lucitantes, ceremony 1
June 5-6-Ceremony 2+3 at Taita Lucitantes
June 7- Private transport to Mocoa. Overnight in Mocoa.
June 8-9- River waterfall and intertube tour, optional nature trips, shopping. Mocoa.
June 10-11-12- Walk to Taita Juans, Ceremony #4, 5, 6
June 13- Return to Mocoa, closing fancy Dinner.
June 14- Flight to Bogota 10 am.

This is an adventure trip, please note that there will be some walking, and that conditions at the fincas of the elders will be rustic. We will be cared for by the elders and their families, and guests on their land.

You will need to bring your own camping hammock for use while at the homes of the elders, this will be your bed. Blankets can be purchased upon arrival in Puerto Asis.

You will need to bring only a large camping style backpack, this is not the trip for wheeled luggage. I will send recommendations for both hammocks and bags before the trip.

Meals are included, however, please note, we are at the home of the elders and variety may be lacking. If you have a special diet, or are someone that needs more food than most, you may want to pack your own protean snacks like nuts, nut butters, bars. Vegetarian/vegan/gluten free travelers should note that while we provide suggested menus and options, these types of diets are still new to this region of Colombia. The food at the homes of the elders is prepared not by a chef, but a family member. Please keep an open heart and mind. Fresh vegetables are not in abundance, a typical meal might be rice, yucca, fish, a small salad. Breakfast may be eggs and arepas with fruit.

You will need to book a plane ticket arriving to Bogota (BOG) no later than 6 am on June 3rd. It is highly recommended to arrive early and stay in Bogota to ensure your arrival.

June 14 after 6 pm.

Your flights within Colombia are included. Transport within Putumayo, most meals, and a group tour to the river are also included.

The cost for this trip is $1650.00 per person, and includes 6 Ayahuasca ceremonies, ground transport, most meals, tours. Accomodation in hotels is shared, single rooms may be possible upon arrival for an additional charge.

The package price does not include airfare to Colombia from the US, snacks, bottled water or drinks, any tips for tour guides or drivers or musicians. Does not include optional trips in Mocoa, transport within Bogota, hotel in Bogota, Beer for Sidney, room service.

THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS FOR YOUR DEPOSIT SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO CANCEL.

Your deposit will go to the purchase of your plane tickets and for your travel. There are no refunds, credits for a later date, name changes or other funny business. Register carefully. FINAL PAYMENT OF $825 IS DUE May 1ST, IF NOT RECEIVED BY THIS DATE, YOUR TRIP WILL BE CANCELLED. There are no exceptions to this policy.
